The Caroline County Polar Bear Plunge at Lake Land’Or began in response to the rising costs of home heating with our first plunge in February, 2006. Since then, over 200 people have gotten cold so that others can stay warm and have raised over $100,000! The money has been distributed through the participating churches and the Caroline County Department of Social Services, CERVE (Caroline Emergency Relief Volunteer Efforts), the St. Mary’s Food Bank, and Glory Outreach.
