Be a Volunteer
Volunteering made easy? We try
to keep things in perspective at Wright's Chapel. And everyone
recognizes the demands that each day makes upon us. "Where
did the day go?"
But chances are you've thought about the good you could do by volunteering
a little of your time. Or perhaps you have already experienced
the joy of giving. That's what discipleship is all about.
Reaching out to others by sharing your talents.
Volunteering at Wright's Chapel can be almost as easy as showing up
for church. You might start out by volunteering as a Greeter
welcoming members and guests to our worship service. Or serving
as an Usher to help with individual needs and collect the offering.
Children can volunteer as Acolytes, lighting candles at the altar
to begin our service.
As you find your calling, you can dive right in. There are opportunities
to guide our youth and children as they grow in their faith.
Serve as their Sunday school workshop teacher for as little as three
weeks at a time. Or be a class Shepard for the Fall or Spring
and really get to know the children in your care. Click on Youth
in Action or Christian
Education for other Helper needs to support the afterschool
ministry for youngsters and teens of both the church and community.
You're looking for something a little less energized? Consider
becoming a member of the Crafters or Men's Club, members of which
have contributed their talents to make annual fund raising events
so successful. Examples of their feats include the Holiday Bazaar
and special dinners throughout the year.
And don't forget about our choir. Or the praise band.

Open Hearts. Open Minds. Open Doors also means recognizing the needs
of the community. Wright's Chapel members work hard to make a difference.
For an array of church sponsored ministries that rely on you to volunteer
for their success, click on Community
Outreach.
There's always something new to enlist your volunteer spirit and talents.
So we encourage you to take a look at our Church Bulletin Board and
monthly Church Newsletter for
other ministry and mission needs that are coming up.
